Driver Carlos Rodriguez Surpasses Accident Free Milestone

Driving. It’s what we do to get from point A to point B. Driving for work can be as short as one mile or over 100 miles a day. Have you calculated how far you have driven?

One astonishing milestone is set by one of our many hardworking Garden Fresh Restaurant Corp. distribution drivers, who deliver our fresh foods to Sweet Tomatoes and Souplantation restaurants.

Surpassing a driving high point, Distribution Driver Carlos Rodriguez zooms past 1.5 million miles driven without an accident.

Carlos Rodriguez is a 15-year team member who serves the areas of Tucson, Phoenix, and San Diego, surpassed 1.5 million accident free miles!

“Carlos is just an amazing guy,” says Archie Clark, Distribution Executive Director. “He is absolutely a marvel and exemplifies the kind of can-do spirit and attitude that makes him such a valued asset to our company. He is dependable, professional and always upbeat and we’re all so very proud of his accomplishments.”

To get an idea of what 1.5 million miles is like. Here is an example:

From Vancouver, WA, our most Northwest Sweet Tomatoes location, to Miami, FL, our most Southeast Sweet Tomatoes location, it would take about 3,271 miles one way. And to reach Carlos’s commending milestone, you would have to make 229 round trips!

Carlos also backhauls the hard-boiled and liquid eggs from Arizona, as well as the GMO-free flour for Gourmet Fresh for the company’s famous soup noodles, a key ingredient in the chicken noodle soup.

Carlos and his wife have been married for 43 years; have two children and six grandchildren. His most appreciated time away from work is spent with his grand kids.

Congratulations Carlos in reaching 1.5 million accident free miles in your 15 years with Garden Fresh!
