  1. Are your vegetarian cheese products 100% vegetarian i.e. not having animal rennet or animal enzymes in the cheese.
    Kind Regards
    Debra Robinson

    1. Hi Debra – Most of our cheeses currently do not contain animal rennet, including our asiago, parmesan, mozzarella, cheddar, blue, and goat cheeses. Our current feta and romano brands do contain animal enzymes. However, as we occasionally must make vendor substitutions and changes to our menu items from time to time, and therefore don’t feel comfortable guaranteeing that certain cheeses will always be free of animal rennet in our restaurants. If this sub-ingredient is something you wish to avoid, we encourage you to try some of our recipes that do not contain cheese. There are many items on our menu for you to chose from. Thanks and have a great day.

  2. This weekend I tried the coconut gluten free muffins. I love them soooo much! Will you be providing the recipe sometime in the near future? I would to try to make them sometime.

    Thanks,

  3. We tried the coconut gluten free muffins a couple days ago. My wife was able to eat them because they were gluten free, and she loved them. I loved them even though they are gluten free!

  4. Are the gluten free coconut muffins prepared separately than the other muffins? I am just wondering about cross contact with gluten. We would love to try them! They sound wonderful:)

    1. Hi Darissa – We strive to limited cross contamination but due to the large amount of menu items we produce we cannot make the promise that no cross contamination will occur at this time.

  5. Hi thanks for that.
Sorry to bother you again, but is the Mac and Cheese made with Mozarello. We will be visiting in a couple of weeks time and my son would really like the Mac and Cheese, if that is without animal rennet.
    Many thanks.

    1. Hi Debra – All of our managers have a full list of ingredients for you to take a look at during your visit so you can plan your meal 🙂

    1. Hi Terri – They are dairy free (made only with coconut milk, no butter or milk) but do have eggs so are not considered vegan. Hope this helps!

  6. Souplantation used to be my favorite restaurant. We used to go every other week at least. We went vegan 2 years ago. Since then I haven’t gone. I am waiting for the time when there is always one muffin or bread item, a soup, and a dessert option. Once you guys have those three things always available, then I will become a regular customer again.

    1. Thank you for the suggestion, Andi. We are always trying to please all of our guests’ dietary restrictions while keeping our promise of fresh and delicious options. We continue to try and revitalize our menu each month 🙂

  7. Hi,

Can you advise which salad dressings you have that are vegan, gluten free, soy free and do not contain corn or tomato? I’m guessing that’s limited to Balsalmic Vingagrette or oil and vinegar, but I wanted to be sure I didn’t have another option I might like better.

    Thanks!

    1. Hi Stephanie – Since we carry so many different dressings (and regional offerings may vary) we recommend asking the manager at your local location during your next visit for a full list of ingredients – they have it on hand 🙂

  8. Coconut Muffins – Gluten Free…. Need I say more! I was at Soup Plantation last night and I usually steer away from “gluten-free” only because there are so many other options, but when I saw the muffin w/coconut, I had to try it. I THOUGHT I BIT INTO A PIECE OF HEAVEN! That was absolutely the best muffin I have ever had in my life and I do have a few years on me. My dad and I usually share our like/dislikes in food and I had to call him the second I got home. He was laughing at me because I was ecstatic about how incredible the muffin was. Keep up the good work Soup Plantation and I hope this will be a regular on the menu. I will continue to frequent your business but look forward to seeing a recipe. 🙂

    1. Hi Linda – We haven’t shared that recipe quite yet, but keep an eye out, you never know what we will post next 🙂

  9. Your new lettuce wraps look absolutely fabulous. I can’t locate a nutrition breakdown for them though. My biggest concern would be the sodium content in either version of the wraps. Is it possible to get that information? Thanks so much!

  10. Thank you, Sweet Tomatoes!! Your restaurant is amazing. As someone on a strict low-sodium vegan diet, I cannot tell you what a thrill it is to be able to eat out and not have to worry. We visited at your North Point mall location in the northern ATL suburbs over Christmas break while visiting family – not once, but twice in five days!! Our entire family – from under 1 to over 70 – cannot thank you enough for providing fresh, healthy, fast food. If only you had a restaurant here in Portland, Maine, my world would be complete. 🙂 Keep up the wonderful work, and we’ll be seeing you on our next visit south.

  11. My husband and I have just started a gluten free diet, can you please tell me if the chili is gluten free, it’s my husbands favorite.

  12. We love Sweet Tomatoes but the nearest one is in Brandon Florida. 50 miles away. I think you should look into bringing one to Lakeland Florida.our town is really growing and you would do a great business here. Thanks

  13. Are the gluten-free coconut muffins here to stay? They are the best muffins ever! We have been to Souplantation three times this month (so far!) just because of those darn delicious muffins! We visit the locations in Brea and Rancho Cucamonga, California (although we are anxiously awaiting Chino Hills!).

    1. Hi Victoria – They are only being offered on a limited basis. However, we’ve extended their availability until February 14th! We hope to see you a few more times 🙂

  14. I just enjoyed your gluten free coconut muffins and they were amazing! The best gluten free muffins I’ve had. The texture and flavor were both wonderful. Will you share the recipe?

  15. Hi tried your gluten free cocoanut muffin they were amazing!! I also have other allergyies….milk products and sugar cane… Could you tell me if there was either of these two ingredients in the muffin? Trying to pin point what I ate that upset my stomach. I’m still struggling with food allergies so I was hoping it was the muffin….and not your other delicious food…..love Sweet Tomatoe. Every time we are in Naples we go 3-4 times.

    Thanks,
    Lynn

  16. I couldn’t get my fill of your gluten free coconut muffins when we were at Sweet Tomatoes this weekend. We will definitely be back before Feb. 14th for more. We hope that if you do discontinue serving them, you will make the recipe available for those of us who find our mouths watering for them. We want to be able to eat them when they are not being served by you.
    Thanks again,
    Marilyn

  17. Please please PLEASE keep the gluten-free coconut muffins on the permanent menu. It’s so delicious and pleasantly different from the other sweeter choices. I would go to Sweet Tomatoes more often just for those muffins. YUM!

  18. I am not gluten free by any means, but I love love love your new gluten free coconut muffins! I came back to try them again within a week after my first taste. I hope they stick around!

  19. I just wanted to agree with other posters and say the gluten free coconut muffins were amazing and definitely should be on the permanent menu!

  20. Today was my first trip to Sweet Tomatoes…and I thought it was great! Even my young children agreed. Thank you for offering those yummy, GF coconut muffins! I will definitely be back.

    1. We are so glad you enjoyed them, Andrea! Our gluten-free muffins will only be available until Feb. 14th, so be sure to hurry back 🙂

  21. So to add to the comments above…the gluten-free coconut muffins were literally the best muffin I’ve ever had. No small feat given that it is gluten free (and dairy free apparetly). PLEASE either make it permanent or share the recipe. I’ve been on a hunt for the recipe all morning and none even look close in the pics.

    1. Thanks so much for the kind words, Krystal! We haven’t shared our recipe quite yet, but we hope you can find a similar one or be able to stop in for another serving 🙂

  22. Hello,
Are there any plans to open a Sweet Tomatoes in Rockwall Tx?
I love your food, but I have to drive 40 minutes to the closest one.

    1. We don’t have any current expansion plans to that area, Eliana. But, thanks for liking us enough to want one closer to you!

  23. We had the gluten free coconut muffins this
evening and they were beyond amazing. Please
consider bringing them back after February
14th or at least consider sharing the recipe
after this date. We have tried many gluten
free products and the muffins were by far
the best!!! We love Sweet Tomatoes and appreciate
you including items for people with dietary
    concerns. Thank you.

  24. The gluten-free coconut muffins are AMAZING! We live in Michigan and enjoy our annual visits to Sweet Tomatoes in Orlando. This year, I wasn’t sure about it because four days before we arrived I was given a diagnosis requiring a gluten-free lifestyle. When I saw the muffins I had to try them and they are wonderful. If you ever release the recipe….as I’ve seen others indicate a desire for this, I’d love to have it in Michigan. Obviously, you don’t have restaurants up there……but it would be nice if you did. I am only sorry that, apparently, the muffin was for January and we just got it on the 31st.

    1. Hi Cheryll – Thanks for your feedback. We have received such great response about our coconut muffins, we’re extending their availability until February 14th!

  25. The coconut gluten free muffins were amazing! They should truly be a staple on the menu! If not (if you’re not offering them regularly is there any way of getting the recipe?) I have recently gone gluten free for my kids heath and they really enjoyed them!
    Thanks 🙂

  26. Just to add my vote for keeping the GF coconut muffins on your menu permanently–maybe even some variations: pina colada? lemon coconut? They are SO yummy! I have been GF for 3-1/2 years now–Sweet Tomatoes has been one of our favorite restaurants for over 10 years, and I have been so happy that I can still eat there, but always am looking longingly at the baked goods. It has been so nice to have a muffin I can eat and enjoy this month!

  27. Your restaurants are great but you have changed your coupon format so drastically that coupons cannot be printed out without some of them being on two pages. How about going back to having coupons on a separate page so that we can print them out in their entirety. Thanks.

  28. I loved the gluten free coconut muffins that I had at lunch today, 02-14-14. Since this is the last day you will be serving them, may I have the recipe. It is so nice to see that you are having gluten free foods and labeling them.

And, I will still come to your restaurant as I love the food there.

  29. We just went to Souplantation Simi Valley just last night (February 16) and they still had the gluten-free coconut muffins! I hope that means they are around to stay. No one in my family is on a gluten-free diet but we love them!!

  30. The gluten-free coconut muffins are delicious! They still had them yesterday (2/17) at our Sweet Tomatoes. Are they here to stay? Any chance of releasing the recipe if they are no longer going to be available??

    1. Hi Jett – Each location will continue to serve the muffins until they run out of the raw ingredients. We aren’t currently planning on releasing our recipe, but keep in touch here and on Facebook to be notified of their return or if we do decide to spill our secret recipe!

  31. Please bring back the Gluten Free Coconut muffins! They are so delicious! I have been craving them for days!!! I even brought my whole family in just for the muffins! Haha!

    1. Hi Vee – No, not all of our vegetarian dishes are eggless. You can view entire ingredient lists at your nearest location.

  32. Could you confirm if any of the following products contain egg – Coconut muffins, brownie bites, blueberry muffins, corn bread?

    1. Hi Vee – You can obtain a full list of ingredients for these menu items from the manager at your nearest restaurant.

  33. The gluten-free Coconut Muffins sound wonderful. I am wondering are they also dairy-free and soy-free and corn-free? I can’t find an ingredient list anywhere. I have a friend who can’t eat any of those ingredients and I’d love to surprise her with these muffins! (Not to mention, I’m excited to try them myself!)

    1. Hi Laura – These muffins are both gluten-free and dairy free with the main ingredients being Gluten Free flour, egg, coconut milk, and canola oil. For a more detailed list, please just ask the manager when you stop by for a visit.

  34. To start off, we love Sweet Tomatoes. We checked our local restaurant ingredients book and it did not list eggs in ingredients for the mac.& cheese. At a later visit we overheard a mom asking someone behind the counter if there was egg in the mac & cheese and he checked and said YES, in the pasta. Checked book again, and all items with pasta just say “pasta.” We need to know if any of your pastas are enriched with or made in a facility that uses eggs in ingredients?

    1. Hi Lisa – We’re so sorry for the confusion. There is no egg in our Mac & Cheese. For more information, here is the ingredient label for the pasta used in that dish: Semolina (wheat), niacin, iron (ferrous sulfate), thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin and folic acid. Hope this helps!

  35. Which of your muffins/breads and desserts not contain egg? I’m a vegetarian since I do eat dairy products but I do not eat eggs nor foods containing eggs.
