  1. Please add a gluten free soup! I love the chili but adding a soup would be even better! The GF muffin are fantastic but I find that they are not available on some of my visits.

    1. Thank you for your feedback, Lynn. We are always switching our menu and trying new things, so be sure to keep checking back. Bonus – we’ll be testing a few different flavors of gluten-friendly muffins over the next few months, so be sure to visit and try them all!

  2. I was excited to see that Sweet Tomatoes was promoting a gluten-friendly October menu. However, my excitement quickly went away when I didn’t see ANY soups listed on the menu. Come ‘on ST, you can easily substitute ingredients to make some of these soups gluten-free. If Progresso (store bought, soup in a can) can make a gluten-free split pea, lentil, vegetable and other soups, surely you can too!!

  3. It is great that Sweet Tomatoes now have Gluten free items on there menu. It is great that there are also alot more Vegan items also on the menu. I have just started going vegan and gluten free. I have lost 17 Lbs. in just 4 weeks. I go to dine in at your location in Port Richey Fl where the staff and the manager Pete Ritter are outstanding. I vote that this location is # 1 the best. I will tell all my friends about this location. Great job Pete. Written by Mike S.

  4. Thank so much for being more gluten friendly. Its bringing back customers like me who have not visited in years and used to go often.

Just a quick clarification though, the blog and email mentions “Chipotle Lime & Cilantro Quinoa” as gluten friendly, but the menus at stores only have it marked as vegan. Last time I was told your Quinoa had a protein powder used in the mix that has wheat, Can you please confirm that this item in gluten friendly.

Also as others said would be great if you featured at least one gluten free soup and perhaps some gluten free bread.

  5. Please have at least one kind of gluten free muffin available at all times. It is depressing to see them only available during certain days and then go to the restaurant only to drool at all the nice things we can’t eat! 🙂

    1. Hi Jeff – You’ll be excited to know that over the next few months, we’re testing a few different gluten-friendly muffin flavors! For the first 2 weeks of the month, the muffins will be available on the bar, and for the second 2 weeks they will be available for purchase in 2-packs 🙂

    1. Hi Fran – Each of the locations have a full ingredient list for you to take a look at 🙂 Just ask the manager on duty!

  6. I love Souplantation. Although I am not restricted to gluten free, I do like using less gluten in my food. I am vegetarion and a wannabe Vegan. I use very little dairy. I loved the Lobster Bisque. However, the pepper content to me is way too high. Is it just me?
Overall I love the fresh crisp salads in such a variety. My kids always get me gift cards at special occasions.

    1. Thank you for your feedback, Dolores. Since each of our menu items is made to order, some differences in taste may occur occasionally.

  7. My daughter has celiac so we have to be gluten free. We love souplantation for this reason. Like the reader above said more soups would be a huge plus plus muffins, and maybe gluten free bread or pasta too. Finally i would highly suggest making all you foods labels say what they are. For example the chili does not say gluten free on it even though it is. Same for your dressings. Thank you souplantation for all your excellent work. We will see you in one hour for lunch 🙂

    1. Hi Marko – We are continually developing new menu items to try and please the tastes and dietary restrictions of all of our diners and appreciate your feedback. Each location should have appropriate signage next to the dishes (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-friendly), however, as things switch out on the bar, there is an occasional lag.

  8. Hello Souplantation,
Gluten-Free Apple Cinnamon Muffins are the best. Since people with gluten intolerance can’t eat regular muffins (blueberry, lemon and cornbread), please have at least ONE kind of gluten-free muffin available ON THE BAR at all times!!!
Also, please add a gluten-free vegetable soup, which isn’t spicy.
And finally, we miss a lot of your ROASTED VEGETABLES: Zucchini, Broccoli, Carrots, Cauliflower, Squash. Where ‘s this type of food? ONLY Macaroni, Pasta and Spaghetti. They all aren’t gluten-free food, and there is no other choice to substitute them. Please bring back your Roasted Vegetables. They were delicious.
Our favorite location is Beverly Souplantation (Los Angeles, CA 90048)
    Thanks.

    1. Thank you for your feedback, Anita. We are always rotating out our menu items, which is why your favorite dish may not always be on the bar. Our gluten-friendly muffins will be available on the bar for the first 2 weeks of the month and then available for purchase in a 2-pack for the remainder of the month. We also hope you will stop by and try our Gluten-Friendly Pumpkin Spice Muffin in November and Gluten-Friendly Candy Cane Muffin in December!

  9. Hi, had a great lunch at Sweet Tomatoes today. The Lobster Bisque soup was the best! I’m wondering if you can provide the nutritional information for it? I can’t find it listed any where.
    Thanks.

    1. Hi Christine – Since this is one of our newest soups we were unable to quickly update our website. Please just ask the manager on duty and they will be able to provide you that information 🙂

  10. Speaking of the muffins. The coconut ones were so good. Hope they come back. I would even purchase those if they were available all the time. Thanks and keep up the great work for more gluten free choices.

    1. Thanks for letting us know your thoughts, Jeff! We’re actually testing new flavors through December, at which time we’ll need the help of our guests to determine which flavors are the best!

  11. My husband and I eat at Sweet Tomatoes often. But last week when we came to begin getting our salad greens there was an employee wiping the glass above the salad bar. The problem was she was also spraying cleaner from a spray bottle directly in front of the salad bar. She would spray the cleanser into her towel and then do her wiping. But she should not spray any cleaner even in the vicinity of food. Our salads tasted a little different to us. A bit of a cleaner taste. It was very unappitizing.

    1. Hi Mary – Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will be sure to address this in all of our locations. Please also feel free to contact the manager on duty at any time during your visits if you notice something is a little off – that way they can rectify the issue and get you back to enjoying a delicious meal!

  12. Was VERY IMPRESSED that ST had a Gluten Free Muffin and especially that the maple nut muffin was so very good! Thanks for offering gluten free options!

    1. Thanks, Vera! We will also be introducing new gluten-friendly muffin flavors in November and December! We hope you will give them a try.

  13. What about getting the meat ingredients including the chicken- and beef-bases out of traditionally vegetarian soup recipes like cream of tomato and cream of mushroom? Once, during an Asian recipe week, you had an Indian curry soup that had chicken-base in it . Not only wasn’t it a traditional Indian recipe, but a bit disrespectful to your Indian customers, don’t you agree? If you dropped the meat from traditionally meatless recipes the meat-eaters almost assuredly won’t notice the meat-free status of the soups, but the vegetarians sure will!! How about it??

    1. Thanks for the suggestion, Leonard. We are always tweaking our recipes to try and please the tastes and dietary restrictions of all of our guests and will continue trying to improve 🙂

  14. Can you please provide me with the nutritional information for the Curry Lobster Bisque? It is not on the website. Many thanks

    1. Hi Crissy – Each location has a full list of nutritional information and ingredients for our menu items. Since some items are new and only available for a limited time, it is difficult for us to include all of the information online.

  15. I am always happy to see gluten free muffins. Thanks for testing these. I likewise would visit more often if you had the muffins available.

  16. What would be ideal is if you all included gluten-free bakery items / muffins … AND soups … PERMANENTLY.

As much as I enjoy the restaurants, I usually only go when you all offer the gluten free muffins, and am sure I’m not the only person out here who does the same.

    “Jus’ Lookin’ Out!”

    1. Hi! All of our menu items are rotational, but we are looking to bring more gluten-friendly items to our offerings 🙂

  17. Do the gluten-free muffins contain any dairy (eggs are ok) – just wondering about milk, butter or cream? Also, you usually always have a vegan and gluten-free soup available – why are there none this month!?

    1. Hi! Our soup offerings rotate with the rest of our menu and while we do typically try and have a vegan and gluten-friendly offering available, we are not always able to. However, our Culinary Team is actively trying to come up with new recipes that meet all of our guest’s tastes and dietary restrictions so we always have something to please available. Each gluten-friendly muffin recipe is slightly different, so please be sure to ask the manager on duty for a full ingredient list.

    1. Hi Mike – Each of our muffins have a slightly different recipe and some do contain dairy. To ensure the offering is suitable for your diet, please ask the manager on duty for a full ingredient list during your visit.
